Youth Ecology & Adventures
All programs are free to Tahoe’s under-resourced youth and any youth in need of supportive programming as referred to us by teachers and counselors. Programs are designed to help youth LEARN through outdoor adventure, HEAL through empowering experiences and THRIVE in order to build a better community. Guides are trained in facilitating social emotional learning, environmental education, embodied peak experiences and bonding fun!
YEA! programs are hosted by Gateway Mountain Center, an established 17-year-old nonprofit headquartered in Truckee, California, and are made possible through grants, fund-raising, and donations from benefactors like you. Our mission is to transform the lives of youth through high impact, nature-based learning and wellness adventures through innovative and non-traditional therapeutic approaches to mental health and physical well-being. By reconnecting to self, nature and community, youth of all backgrounds Learn, Heal & Thrive!
